Hi
Create an article from article manager and then select this article for the Menu item you created.
Publish the menu.
Now create and publish the module as showing in the documentation Here

Yes. I was meticulously following those instructions in great detail. That’s probably why the omission of an instruction to create a new article, "landing page", confused me.
