Can anyone advise me on how to change my poll results from showing the actual number of voters , to the percentage of voters?

This would be a Joomla issue. You should try http://forum.joomla.org/ and see if someone can help. I have thought of this also but haven’t had the time to search their forum yet. I sure someone has asked this there though.

I used this extension on an old site (no longer online), and I think it will do what you’re looking for.
