Hello, I have a problem with the display template Elastica (2.5.2 and 1) if I installed the jcomments background picture “read more” disappears from my Joomla articles. only the text appears “more”
Joomla 2.5.6 + Elastica 2.5.1 and 2.5.2 + 2.3 + allEvents jcomments 2.5.2.

Did you experience the same issue with default Joomla template?

You can switch default template (JA Elastica) to a standard template of Joomla like Beez, Protostar and see whether this issue persists or not.
