Hi, Installed latest Component and plugins on a joomla 1.7. Everything seems to be working fine except pour the moderation panel, it’s blank. I can see the top tabs : All(2) Unaproved(0) Approved(2) Spam(0)
    And thats it.

    Thanks !

yep and me… I’m also having the exact same problem. Can someone please help us?

Joomla 1.7.3, running on php 5.3.8 zendserver
    JA Rave with JAComment 1.1.1
    No obvious errors on install
    no php errors when running.
    No js errors in firebug
same in firefox 9.0.1 opera 11.6 and chrome

Clicking ‘Approved’ tab send xhr request for this url
    /administrator/index.php?option=com_jacomment&view=comments&curenttypeid=1&layout=comments&tmpl=component&keyword=&reported=0&optionsearch=&sourcesearch=

    which call returns this:

    [{"id":"#currentTypeID","attr":"value","content":"1"},{"id":"#jav-mainbox-1","attr":"html","content":" rnt"}]

I see these other guys posted +10 days ago.
So a response ASAP would be good. urgent is better now please

    tnx
forgot: only on my local dev nmachine so no mod access sorry

I saw qessence has started a new thread with what seems to be exactly the same problem so I’m just bumping this up to give support.

also I’ve since tried on a brand new install of J2.5.1 and prob is still the same.
This problem really really needs a fix or this component is useless as is

    Hmmmm I could’ve sworn I responded to this thread…..
anyway… the issue is all posts are being pre-approved… I’ve reported it to our dev’s http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/CUSSER-392 ( for mod info ) so we should get this resolved soon.

whilst that might be a problem – I dont actually know yet.
But perhaps its not the only problem? – because nothing shows.

Surely pre-approved comments (and all comments even?) should show in the backend list shouldnt they?

sure, that THAT part I can’t replicate.

    Hi

    thnx for reply.
so are you saying that comments DO show up in moderate panel in your install?

    n6rej Friend
    #437226

nope, I said there is a bug that is pre-approving comments so no moderation is needed.

maybe I’m missing the point here…
but it seems to me that whether a comment was pre-approved or not – it must still show in the moderation panel in the ‘All’ tab – mustnt it?
What if the admin wants to ‘Unapprove’ or ‘Delete’ or ‘Mark spam’ a pre-approved comment?

my local version does to to both all and approved

I see the thread as answered… What’s the solution :/
I agree with bule’ last comment.. Ok so comments get aproved automatically and thats a bug.
But I still need to be able to manage those comments?

    Hi marclime

As far as I understand the problem – its not answered

I didnt get the meaning of the last post by n6rej.
and perhaps its most likely there are 2 issues here?

So maybe we should just come back to the point of this thread:
    <blockquote>Blank moderation panel in backend</blockquote>
and the screenshot by marclime which displays the problem exactly

As far as I’m concerned its reasonable to expect ALL comments MUST display in the backend.
And they dont. ergo there must be an issue and the thread isnt answered.
(unless I/we missed a config setting, but I dont think so)

I opened a ticket about ‘Blank moderation panel in backend’ and referenced this thread.
So far no solution. I’ll post if there is
