Hi, I have several pages where I need to assign a unique template (statefestival2015) instead of the default template that is being used for the main site. Here’s a link to a menu item (page) where the ‘statefestival2015’ template is corrected assigned and displayed, http://coloradosquaredance.com/index.php/2015. When some of the links on this page are selected, the resulting page comes up with the template for the main site, not the assigned template (statefestival2015) so I’ve tried adding the ‘template=statefestival2015’ to the URL. It only partially works. Here’s an example with the template=statefestival2015 added to the URL, http://coloradosquaredance.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=820&template=statefestival2015. The header background and the footer are from the statefestival2015 template, but the logo in the header and the megamenu are from the default template, not from the statefestival2015 template. Each template has a unique logo and megamenu configured via the T3 framework (admin panel). What do I need to do to get a unique template (in this case, statefestival2015) to completely display on the page?

After lots of trail and error testing, I’ve found a way to achieve what appears as the assignment of a unique template via a link URL string. Rather then adding template=uniqueTemplateName to the URL, create a hidden menu item with a blank component, then add its ID as Itemid=### to the URL. In my case, http://coloradosquaredance.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=820&Itemid=1449 shows a K2 item without any other modules using the unique template assigned to its parent page.
