Hi there, I am looking to allow a user access to the backend admin area of joomla and I want them to be able to see the user menu but not the component menu. I have assigned the user a role of administrator and also manager and both roles do not allow this scenario. Using the admin template do I create a custom admin menu or something like this? How does one do this? Thanks in advance. James

Hi James,

Joomla doesn’t provide option for permission of Component menu like Menus menu, you can try to access each components under Component menu and set the Permissions for Manager / Administrator user group.
