Is there a way to add a background color to the left and right of the main template? I want to keep the 900px of the template with white background, but wanted to add color outside of the main 900px page area.

Try to change background-color style of body#bd {…} in template.css (now it’s white).

This will result in changed color for the whole template. To keep the central area white, find .main {} in template.css and add a style background-color: #fff;

Hope it’ll work.
