Joomlart is proudly running on Joomla 1.5.18 and it replaces our aging Joomla 1.0.11, Yes, we were running 4 year old version till now. Apart from Joomla! for main site, running VBulletin for forums, Amember for Subscription & Payments and Kayako for Support Suit. The best part is the seamless integration between all these platforms.
Template Framework
The template is in-house designed and developed on our own robust T3 Framework 2. T3 framework gives our site the flexibility we had in mind, mobile ready was one of the requirement for the new home site.
Content & Display
We are using the following extensions for content management and display.
K2 Component
We have migrated all our articles to K2 and it works amazing, no doubt the Joomla! Community likes it so much. Its indeed a masterpiece. In our run to use it, we ended up updating many of our components to support K2 and even developed custom modules to work with K2.
JA Showcase
This one got a facelift and massive code update, it now supports k2 articles too for description details. JA Showcase component was powering our showcase on the old site too, the site is half dead without it.
JA Comment
Commenting system is powered by JA Comment Component and we are using it prominently for the blog section.
JA Amazon S3 Cloud
Its the latest extension developed especially keeping the requirements of our new site. It pushes all our images to Amazon S3 cloud and automatically updates the image links in the articles, this helps lowering the HTTP requests on our server, as well as adds to the speed.
JA Content Slider 2
You can see this one in action on the main site, below the body area. Its like a tiny showcase of all our releases, from all our clubs. It auto resize the first image & slide it.
JA Extension Manager
This one is going to make our future updates of extension on our site easy, with upgrades / rollbacks and backups support, we don't need anything else.
QuickFaq Plugin
This was very handy to arrange our faq's in an orderly manner, within a limited space
Others - We are using JA NewsTicker module for displaying list of news from our blog and forums on the main page. JA Facebook Like Plugin, added the cute little Facebook button on the top of all the articles. JA twitter Module is used to showoff our tweets and 5 custom modules to display stats and other info's across the site.
