I will try to explain better. I do not know the technical words in Italian. In the 17 years I went to Germany to study and it is technically impossible to explain in Italian. In my web "Playstore" the manufacturer is the author and the product is the recipe.
I want assign "Pruducts Categories" or other menus Virtuemart, only when I choose.
In joomla modules it is simple.
See attachment.
But as is done in Virtuemart? When I want to view all the recipes of a particular author, I want to hide categories in the body.Click in the category "Pasta" (sidebar-1): the recipes corresponding to "Pasta" are displayed and the categories are hidden. This is O.K.
I want to do the same, displaying the recipes of a particular author.
No scrivo bene l’inglese, pero spero che mi abbia capito. Ciao

If i correctly understood your question, you can use the manufacturer filter to show all products (recipes) related to the choosen manufacturer ( author ) anyway this is not something that can be set from template but it is a pretty virtuemart configuration.

It is obvious that should be done with virtuemart.
I’ve looked and can not find the settings which must be changed.

I can suggest to post your question in Virtuemart forum for sure they can be more helpful helping you to set your filters in the correct way or maube they can suggest a specific extension doing it
