December 8, 2013 at 4:33 am #192822Hello,
I am using Magz and have a problem when using “Magz media blog”.
All is Ok, but… I have no introduction text for each article.
I’ve looked in the template configuration / General, and in the Extended settings, there is probably a problem with the “User page menu Item”, that I should create ??? and/or link to my pages ???
Thanks for your help.

That userpage is special page created for this template, you simple create a new menu item with type of Magz Userpage and select this menu item in “User page menu item” parameter in extended settings. More info you can see our documentation here:
http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-magz#template-config
section 5. Extended Settings

December 9, 2013 at 12:45 pm #514789Thanks for this answer, but…
I do not know how to “create a new menu item with type of Magz Userpage” !
When I create a new menu using “Menus/Gestion des menus/Ajouter un menu”, I do not see how to choose the type Magz Userpage.
Could you give me the different “steps”, no problem if in english.
Regards

December 10, 2013 at 2:17 am #514880Hi Jacques,
Here are steps:
– Go to backend > Menus > select menu you want this userpage menu belongs to.
– Click ‘New’ button to create a new menu item
– Click to select Menu Item Type, a popup will appear, under Contact tab, you can select Magz Userpage typeHope this makes senses.

December 10, 2013 at 10:57 am #514948Hi Sagaros,
Thanks to you, I found the way to select te Magz Userpage Menu item Type.
The second information I must give is the contact name which I should select from a list, pressing a “button”.
But no button, no list…
Should I create a special contact, using “Composants” / “Fiches de contact” … ?Regards
Jacques

December 10, 2013 at 11:51 am #514950Hi Saguaros,
It’s Ok for creation of the menu item page, and when I open this menu, all the informations, including introductions of article appear.
But not on the other pages of my Website:http://www.magz.prid-reunion.com
Have a look at the pages:
– “Accueil”: no introductions and no choice between rows and columns…
– In the section menu “Usermenu”: it’s the good display I would want to have on all my pages with type Magz Media Blog or Magz Event.Regards
Jacques

<blockquote>”Accueil”: no introductions and no choice between rows and columns…</blockquote>
>> I’m afraid I don’t get your idea here, could you send me screenshot of how you’re trying to achieve? http://joomla-templates.joomlart.com/ja_magz/index.php/en/
<blockquote>In the section menu “Usermenu”: it’s the good display I would want to have on all my pages with type Magz Media Blog or Magz Event. </blockquote>
>> You can check the menu item type of that “Usermenu” page and apply for pages you want.

December 11, 2013 at 10:50 am #515082Hi Saguaros,
You will find in attachment 2 copies of screens:
– left one, when I use the Magz Media Blog, I would want to use for my home page and other ones…
– right one, exactly what I want, but got using the Featured articles type which is not the best way to show all articles of a category of articles !If no solution, don’t worry, I’ll do with the solution of Featured articles, or using a “module” with type “Latest articles”.
Regards
Jacques

December 12, 2013 at 7:49 am #515192Hi Jacques,
Do you mean that you want to have switch layout button in Magz Media Blog menu item type, right? http://prntscr.com/2ajhvk
By default, we provide it for Featured Articles menu item type only, if you want like that, you need to customize / add following code of Mages Media Blog: templatesja_magzhtmlcom_contentcategorymagz.php
<?php if(!empty($this->lead_items) || !empty($this->intro_items)) : ?>
<ul class="tpl-layout-switch">
<li class="to-list"><i class="icon-th-list"></i></li>
<li class="to-grid active"><i class="icon-th-large"></i></li>
</ul>
<?php endif; ?>
However, if you want it looks the same like it is in Featured Articles, you need to style by yourself
