I have searched all over the place but can’t find where the text ‘Read more’ comes from; I’d like to change it.

Take a look in yoursitelanguageen-GB/ and check the file en-GB.com_content.ini around line 81: READ MORE=Read more: %s
there you can change that text.

may be permissions problem, when you reopen the file, did it save your changes

Yes, it did save the changes, may be my other problem I’m having is related to this as well some how? See: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/read-more-link-to-new-page/ -> this is really mind boggling … 🙁

I have changed this in the language file, but it still displays the english ‘Read more’

Do you have another idea?
