Hello guys,
i’m new on the forum and registered because i use Ja purity II and encoutered some problems i’m not able to fix:)
i must say i already spent hours checking this and playing with firebug without results:(
AND i made a search on the forum with no success..so i have a problems with the global display of the template
I am totally unabled to make the template centered with auto width (so the page can extend when the browser window is expanded by the user.
When i try to change the display inside the template manager, it has no effect at all. the only thing that has some effect were the icons at the top of the header , that i disabled (removing php code)so maybe there is something overriding this template parameter somewhere else and i thought maybe it was some fixed menu with somewhere, and i finally found something weird using firebug that this line was used for the menu width:
localhost #2 (ligne 62)
.main {
margin:0 auto;
width:770px;
}when i change inside firebug width:770px; for “auto” it has an effect, but after i refresh it’s back to width:770px;
And this localhost #2 (ligne 62), doesn’t have any file associated shown…so i can’t find where to modify this value in the actual file
I’m a bit lost in what to do to solve my problem, is anyone had the same problem and could point me in the right direction?
that would be really helpfull as it’s some full days i’m on this now 🙁thanks for reading all this and checking my problem!
lephilSeptember 21, 2010 at 5:16 am #356206Sorry, I don’t have the solution, but rather I think I have the same problem with my website at http://www.fpforum.org. The website was displaying in the wide format with the template parameter set to “auto”, but at some point a few weeks ago it started displaying in the narrow format even if I change the template parameter to wide. Also, this causes certain modules to be cut off or displayed incompletely.
I have since discovered that this problem occurs with Mozilla Firefox but not with Microsoft Internet Explorer. I am running Firefox 3.6.10 and I know there have been some updates recently so I suspect that this problem started after a recent update, unless it is caused by some add-on I am using. The problem also doesn’t occur with Seamonkey : I don’t have any other browsers installed on my machine.
