    customer review:

    while the templates seem promising, we must report, that the support of joomlart is one of the worst, my company ever encounters on the web.

    there are unsolved issues with the ja avian II template, unsolved since months.

    by private message, i was told, that they will look into the problem, i even gave them a admin account at a clients website, we created.

    still no response since two weeks.

    Hi kaeau,
    First of all, GSGallery is not developed by JA and what we did in the customized version included in the download area is some small changes in the CSS and HTML mark up. So we did not make any touch into the functionality of the component.

    It is our fault that we had not expected so many bugs of the RSGallery which is out of our hand.

    However, once we decide to include the gallery in the download, here is what we are going to do.

    1. We will fix as many as of bugs found in the versions provided in our download area
    2. Make a list of common issues when use the gallery
    3. Trying to contact with RSGallery developers to see if he can provide any assistance for the upcoming versions of RSGallery
    4. We refuse to support if you decide to use other version of RSGallery

    no matter as posted in the support forums many times before:

    * situation one:
    joomla installation, template + modified rs gallery (modified and provided by joomla art) installation like described in the guide, etc.:
    *** slideshow button in frontend doesnt work
    *** admin backend: the image preview (mouseover div layer) in the gallery admin doenst work (instead showing a html tag)
    *** frontend ACL (user administration where e.g. an admin user (=client) logged in in frontend) does not work (unable to create new galleries / categories)

    * situation 2
    joomla installation + your javian II template + original rsgallery:
    *** backend admin image preview works
    *** ACL user admin in frontend works
    (i didnt tried slideshow button, since this issue came up in the support forum posted by another client a little while later)
    with the original rs gallery, features of the template dont work vis a vis. that would be allright. if the gallery component provided by JA would work.

    so, what can i say as a client, paying for exact this template?
    there´s no other version of rs gallery running. its the one, coming with your template.

    its sad, that we can provide a client with a working solution, top priority has the image preview, without its undoable to manage lot of images. and its strange, because the first replies by JA have been like “its the rs gallery, their problem not ours” and so on at first instance. yes, i know it could depend on webserver settings, on various details, thats possible. but still, there seems no real support going on, if, after providing you with an admin account, we ll be recieving a private message by you personally, stating that JA “will look into the problems tomorrow” and just encounter silence since then for two weeks. thats simply not allright.

    but again, the version which has troubles is the, as you wrote, if i remember correctly “heavily modified rs gallery compontent” which comes with the template. we have used the rs gallery since ~ 1 year now in different versions on various sites, and never had similar problems like the ones described.

    oh, by the way, as asked already via private message after JA deleted a negative review:
    i would appriciate it, if you at least leave a shadow in the costumers testemonials forum, if you must move the message back here, where just resigstered users can read it. i know, you can do any censorship-like actions, its your forum, but costumer reviews dont have to be positive all the time, you know?

    Hi Kaeau,
    All of the issues you are complaining is much too do with RSGallery which is, to some extent, not be considered as bugs of the templates. The reason I move the post down here can be understood from that point of view. Your reviews is about the support of Non-Joomlart product.

    We have the responsibility to support the included version but when RSGallery is not developed by JA so we can not put RSGallery on the top of our product.

    We have 49 templates to support and as you can imagine, we need time to schedule everything.

    However, it will be nice if you can feel relax and I will keep you updated at this thread.
