If the quickstart is installed, is it necessary to install the desired modules and plugins or are they already installed by default? I tried to install the slideshow module and the OPEN dialogue takes me to a folder with xml, cfg, html, cfg and other files. I’m not understanding this procedure very well. FYI I am experimenting on Wampserver. I have nothing uploaded on the web at the present time. Godaddy is my hosting company. I recently moved to CPanel from classic deluxe hosting but that will be another topic when the time comes.
One other question. I can install JA Mendozite as a complete Joomla package with template using quickstart. Is this recommended or is Joomla installation > upload template preferred and why?

Quickstart is Joomla! installation package with full of samples. It’s mean all sample database, sample files are all included. Just need choose to install sample database at end if install wizard.

Understood but I still cannot install the slider mod_jacontentslider. Are all modules and plugins in the JA Mendozite quickstart installed automatically? I’m trying to get over this roadblock so I can move forward. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi there,
You don’t need to install any modules / plugins which included in quickstart. Yes, you can install, just no need.
