    I am having an issue with my JA ONEPAGE Menu set up – on the index.php page the menu works fantastic, ive linked it all correctly, and the slider works for each content block and menu item, however Ive set up some pages outside of the onepage theme, for instance, a drop down menu that links to deeper content… when I link to the deeper content that isnt onepage content, the menu stops working and it attempts to load each #target link on the page of the content and the menu stops working…

    How can I get the menu/onepage feature to work on all pages?

    Ive tried linking the external link to each item as: http://www.link.com/link/index.php?item=457#hero-unit etc, but to no success

    Anyone else come across this issue?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    EDIT: Link to example to replicate issue: http://www.ewdevel.ca/jaonepage/index.php

    Navigate to the portfolio section, and click on 4D Diving thumbnail

    Hi Dave,

    The problem may come from the layout that deeper content page is using, such as this page: http://www.ewdevel.ca/jaonepage/index.php/2013-11-25-18-15-24/web-design-development

    It may use the default layout instead of onepage layout as home page: http://prntscr.com/275ny4

    You can go to backend > template manager > select your Home style > and assign this style to menu items of those deeper content pages: http://prntscr.com/275opk

    Thanks for the response,

    Still not luck with the menu… Is it possible to have a deeper content page that isnt using the onepage template (however using the same menu, as the one on the onepage template), link to the onepage template?

    I want to be able to go to say, search engine optimization page, which will load the page as a custom template… however when I click home, or our portfolio, or our team.. it will automatically link to the index.php#hero-unit or whichever corresponding section applies.

    Thanks

    Has anyone had to deal with an issue like this before? Deep pages that are outside of the onagepage template, that will link to the onepage template #target links?

    Thanks,

    Hi Dave,

    When I check your site, I see that you have 3 main menu: http://prntscr.com/293xe6

    I’m not quite sure when you click on menu item, it will direct to the right link. I also check the menu item settings, the link for menu seems not be correct, please try to create one main menu and set the correct link for its sub menu item as we mentioned in this documentation: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-onepage#create-onepage

    Okay, so what Ive done is replicated the main menu item I was using previously into the default main menu (the one with home that must be set as a component)… Ive followed your instructions with changing the external url links to index.php?itemid=101#hero_unit, etc… however the menu doesnt work. What happens is when I click on a menu item, it links to something like this #our_services&Itemid=519 —- even though the link is not set up to be that at all, it rearranges itself to that, and fails to work

    Any solutions?

    Please just try to have one Main menu, you still publish other main menus in your site, give it a try and let me know how it goes

    Im only having one more issue, thanks again for your patience and assistance.

    When i go to say a deeper content page in our services (website design & development), and from there I click back to say Our Team. The content of Our Team isnt loaded directly at the top of the bottom of the navigation system – there is overflow of about 50px from the previous section (our portfolio). How can I remove that overflow, so that the page loads exactly where Our Team section starts?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    You can try opening file: /templates/ja_onepage/css/themes/metro/template.css, at approx line 2592

    .onepage .container {
    padding: 60px 0;
    }

    try to increase value to 1 or 2px more and it will be:

    .onepage .container {
    padding: 61px 0;
    }
