Hello Everyone,

I’m having trouble putting a flash video file into this template.

The FLV will play but the FLV player skin will not show up when inserted into a content item. The same file will play when inserted into a plain html or php page though. links below.

Hmm not sure, but what you could try is the following.

When you add a flash to a article you can set a couple options for it, standard is enabled:
“Auto play” “Show menu” and “Loop” try to turn these off as you have a menu build in your flash file.
You will find those settings under the advanced parameters of the flash object.

Not sure if this wil solve it but its worth the try.

thanks for the ideas, I’ll try it when I get home tonight but I don’t think that is the problem. I’ve messed with the setting, I’ve tried adding the code to a content item, loading it as an external item and as a jumi item. Non of them worked.

All I know is when I publish the code as a seperate file it works correctly and when I add the same file or code into the joomla system it only plays the FLV not the playback skin.
