Is it possible to take the print and email icon location from behind the little gear and put it with the social media icons at the bottom of the page?

Its not like you needed in same ciricle as the share button are different, I can help you to move the cog button lef/right or up with help of the style code.
If you want the same as u needed, you have to do customization in the /html/com_content/article/default.php file for the icons used in article pages.

PS : I have not found the screenshot part on your site article pages.

ok… that was just the shot at the bottom of the article page.

the client doesn’t like the cog idea and want the print and email icons visible on the page, so I was hoping to put them like the share buttons at the bottom of the articles. but not the best at coding (though I am getting better)

Email and print icons are used from Joomla articles.
You can find the code in /components/com_content/views/article/default.php
Here http://prntscr.com/ei6bg0

You can remove the dropdown effect if you want to show them permanently.
But if you want to give them same style as u needed it needs customization as i suggested above.
