    Hi pavit,

i have tried to uninstall and reinstalled the module sildeshow but i got failled error on both process, then i reinstall again my joomla quickstart hoping to get have any change but still nothing any change whereas i have changed the permission folder from 755 to 777 for the mod_jaslideshow folder. but still nothing change, i have tried to make chmod 777 whole folder in joomla but still there the error ” Operation Failed: Failed to open file for writing when trying to save any change in module slideshow backend in administrator,

one more question, what kind of way to make whole the directory permission in WRITEABLE , because i am here give whole folder to 777 to make it WRITEABLE, but as to that 777 for folder is not allowed as security concern,

do you know what is the real one of number of permission for the folder to make it writeable ?

i am still can not make any change into slideshow module up to now,

    Hi
I think the best setting is 755, but probably you can have other problems depending on your Web hosting environment

try to look at this http://docs.joomla.org/Why_can%27t_you_install_any_extensions%3F
