How can I control the modules and modules positions for the various mobile layouts?
I assume it’s possible to control the (different) behaviour of modules/positions when having the site being shown on a mobile device.

I am not quite sure of your idea. But i think it is impossible to get the modules to behavior differently depending upon mobile devices.
January 5, 2011 at 3:57 pm #370286I want to show particular modulepositions (and the contained module-info) on the mobile. I have e.g. banners on module positions user 2, etc. and I want to show them on the mobile and in a particilar order. Standard I only see the main menu options and their contents if pressed. Please advice

You can go to your template back-end >> layout tabs,there for example going to edit the iphone layout ,you would see the below block
<blocks name=”middle”>
</blocks>
You can add a module position to the right block as follow,for example you want to add the user2 position
<blocks name=”middle”>
<block name=”right2″>user2</block>
</blocks>I hope you understand the idea.
January 6, 2011 at 10:23 am #370442Ok, thank you. I see the iphone.xml in the template local/etc/layout directory was added/changed.
Is this the place to do manual updates? :confused:
I wonder because there is also a core/etc/layout directory. When does one use a particilar directory?

No,Don’t need to make changes directly in the folder,it is in your back-end,Just do as I said
Login to your admin >> Template manager >> your template >> Layout tabs, here you click on to edit the iphone layout. -
