Hi,

I am looking for a solution on setting the maximum word count instead of the maximum character count for Ja news2. I have looked all over for a solution with no luck.

I did find one for janews here http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/max-words/ but this does not appear to work for janews2 as I am getting an error.

I am using teline III v1

Thanks. My php is rudimentary. How would I use it in the content of janews. Currently I edited the helper.php file and the blog_item.php but its trial and error. Can you advise exactly what changes I would need to make to the above files for this to work.. Thanks so much for your earlier rapid response

can you post a screenshot of your Site where exactly you are going to apply the Count Functionality

Thanks again for getting back to me. The screen shot shows where the character count is being applied and cutting off words in the jaNews section. I would like it to trim it to x words
