Is this really your first effort?

I love the graphics very well done and keep up the good work 😀

The only question I have about this template though is what happens when the readmore button is pressed…should this not take you to the text…why should you need to scroll down? (this isn’t your fault )

Thanks! And yes, it’s my first Joomla site. It took me a while to understand how everything – categories / sections / static pages / wrappers / modules and their relationships. I guess it would be my third effort if you count the same site scrapped twice in the same week. 😉 The only thing I really know how to modify at the moment are images …

As for Newslight, I guess the ideal would be an Ajax-y box that opens when you click on “read more” on the front page if there isn’t a lot of text.

I agree – nice effort.

Whilst it says a lot for the original template, your graphics are really smart and gel well with the style of the site.

I just wanna see more content already! 😉

I think the template for the Commenting system is a little distracting though – consider using a more-plain template – the rest of the site is all the eye-candy you need… just my two cents worth 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion – I’m using JoomlaComment and it’s really big, and most of the themes are really loud. I’ve changed it to a lighter color, but it’s still really big. :/
