hi everyone just wanna say i love the antares template and it works great but i found a huge problem when making multilingual sites. i installed joomfish and when i went to change the language from the homepage my left and right module positions do NOT show up, you can see that they have left room for them but they dont come up. i dont think its joomla having the problem that its not assigned to that page because joomfish make pages that are unassigned when placing modules. please take a look into it. in the mean time you can look at my test site http://www.andreejette.com/index.php go to the homepage and togle between french and english.

    frustrated.:((

    Hi smokemon,
We have tested this template with Joomfish and we haven’t got any problem. Do you make any modification of the template?

i didnt change anything. joomfish was already installed on joomla when i install the template. it seems like the page is not able to be assigned module areas only when only on the french home page. please show me your example of your site and also if i could see you admin setup for the module area. i asked another question about the user 3 postion and having a menu there. you guys need to get better on your customer support and respond better or have a support ticket system.

ps. its hard to catch of the bat but take a look it only happens on the home page

    works fine http://andreejette.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1&lang=en

    doesnt work http://andreejette.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1&lang=fr

i took some screenshots of the in line preview with modules to show you how weird it is even when i preview with french or english you can see that the module areas disapear. how weird does anyone know if this is the template or joomfish. i am posting some screenies for you to look at maybe it may help figure out a solution. for now the work around is to just not publish to the home page component and make a new page thats called home page as the problem was only happening on the home page component. i also tried changing templates and all the ones i tried worked fine. so i think its the template as this is not the first issue with the modules showing up incorrectly or being pushed down mostly in IE. i use FF so its a pain but we need to still realise that 60% on people use IE or more.

also maybe its an error but i dont think so. http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fandreejette.com%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_rss%26feed%3DRSS2.0%26no_html%3D1

    Hi,
I am afraid that some components you installed there confict with Joomfish component. Please take a look at our demo site (the language chooser is placed on the right column):

    http://www.joomlart.com/template/ja_antares/content/blogcategory/13/27/lang,fr/

I just install joomfish 1.7, french language module.

hmm what component do you mean conflicts with it. on the version you installed did you use modules in the left and right area. ive been making joomla sites for a while now and its this is template specific as i tried others and they work fine. if you gona make templates make sure they work with a major component as joomfish. i will try and reinstall the template to see if it could be that. i feel that you guys need to offer better support for your templates also the documentation you give with it needs to cover alot more. what component do you think is conflicting on my site? and what about my screenshots of the inline preview with missing modules?> no comments

please try and have a better answer that what you gave.

I don’t know which component/module cause the problem on your site. I just install Joomfish component and French language. You could see that the template works fine on our demo site with menu on the left, login module on the right.

I suggest that you should re-install your joomla and component one by one to figure out the problem.

u think that im gona reinstall my template to go through them 1 by 1 you must be on crack. the sites needs to be live now. when you sell a product you cant tell people well it maybe this and restart all your work. you know how much of pain this is. im not a noob here ive used hundreds of templates and never had this issue. as i see it this is a template problem and not a joomla problem. i will install another instance and reinstall but you have to realise that what you suggest it not an option. this is still a pain and will waste my time. when i buy something i shouldnt have to sit in forums to figure it out.
