    Hi,

You can install quickstart on the root directory of your hosting only ie: root/www/yourquickstart
Please refer to the full documentation to do quickstart installation HERE

For manual installation, you do it from your joomla site administrator>>Extensions>>Install/Uninstall

Kindly refer to userguide for each template under their specific subsidiary forum.

Thank you for replying., I tried manual installation again, via the admin panel, the usual installation procedure for extensions. Tried the entirte quickstart file, but upon completion the window returns to normal admin page, and nothing has changed – apparently. Also tried to dismantle the quickstart zip file and looked for the files which were missing in the original installation – but thiose seem not to be installable via the backend. Have also tried to FTP the extra files, but not been able to retrieve via the admin panel. What am I doing wrong?

And where is the userguide for Urani?

    Regards
    Erik

    Hi,
I have same issue and can not upload and install quickstart via Extention Manager in Joomla Cpanel.I tried many times and different templates, noot possible, why I dont know, I read all those refrence which you mention about, they are not detail and complete unfortunatly.
I tried to use FTP and it is possible to do that, but when i instal blank template all same file already are exist in root and every time asking , do you wanna copy on existing file or not? which i am coping on it. may i know how many quickstart can upload like this on root? and if each time if i copy on existing files, what will happen? or if i have to copy for example administrator, cache, components,… for 3 different template on each other ? will not delete last one like this?

    regards,
    Farhad.

    Hello Mate!

    1) Please confirm me this “install quickstart via Extention Manager ” << the quickstart is not a package to use for installing via the Back-End Of the site. it is used to create a new site having look like as the demo.
    2) you could not install others package ”
    a) you set permission 755 for the tmp and the “cache” folder
    b) if the project is uploaded from localhost to the live , you must to re-configure the tmp_path variable inside the configuration.php file
