I am trying to get a screenshot of the entire front page of a Joomla site with a Joomlart template, and all of the extensions I’ve tried in Chrome and Opera either fail completely, or stop short, although they work on other websites.
For example, trying to get a copy of the Ja-Droid site. For example http://moundsviewbarber.com/v3/ is a sample site. Installed using the quick install feature with Joomla sample data.
Searching for “screenshot” in the forums found lots of threads, but nothing that I could find mentioned any way to do this. The “similar threads” suggestions aren’t relevant to this issue either.
A second question, perhaps related, perhaps not: Normally, I can use Word to copy an entire web page and get a fairly good rendition of the styling, etc. However, the above site (Ja-Droid in this case) only copies plain text, and nothing more. (Word 2007). Is there any way to copy complete pages with styling into Word?
I have a full developer subscription, fwiw.
Thanks, Stephan

February 19, 2012 at 11:38 am #438863Getting a screenshot of a full webpage is quite simple in Firefoz if you use one of the many extensions available. I currently use Fireshot which seems to work quite well – https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fireshot/

February 19, 2012 at 7:47 pm #438927I find it has a range of options that most free things don’t, Phil – Just being a standalone product has it over FF addons that generally break when FF has a significant update. IMHO 🙂 Jing is their free program, works well too I might add
