Fixed, I figured it out.

Hi, I’m new to Joomla and even though I’m learning fast this small issue has had me puzzled.
Every main menu selection has an option for default or Home page, what is happening on the website is that the link I select as default adds an extra content to the home page that I cannot possibly turn off or locate it.

It is H2 in size and it says home if the home button is Home, it gets renamed if the Home menu item is renamed, it always mirrors that and when I set featured articles as my home link location this shows up as a big square box.

You can see now how the “Welcome to ..” is a home page default item and it adds statement below that looks like an article title.

You are right, it is related to the defined layout (Home, Default …) of the template styles being assigned to selected menu items. And the extra concent always appears when you assign the JA_Fixel_Default to Home menu item or as a default template since its Default layout contains the “component” section.
