After sifting through the setup documentation, I cannot seem to get the google map to show. It only shows a blank grey screen and only sometimes on certain categories. Weird. I am not sure how to resolve. Please help …

The map will be loaded when the template JA Directory is loaded so please try to set JA Directory as default template on your site.

I’ve triple-checked the API and also made the template the default as your suggested but it still doesn’t work. Here is a screenshot attached of the JS Console details at this example url – https://www.opensourceliving.org/index.php/emergency-preparedness

I’m confused with this issue. The map IS working on bottom-level sub-categories but it does NOT load on the top-level categories.

Do you have any 3rd party extension used in that page? it may cause the conflict in JS.

No other extensions that wouldn’t also be active on the bottom-level sub-categories that work. That is exactly why I can’t seem to figure out why this isn’t working.

The culprit is from email extra field added inside K2 item: nature human. I must disable the Plugin Email Cloaking to show the map. It’s working now, kindly have a look.

If you wanna enable this plugin, you will need to change the email field in K2 extra field as it will cause the conflict as above.
