Hi,
Well, gallery is indeed a very nice feature but sadly it is only working on a one grid type 2X2 by default. Apparently grid types work on other content types but not gallery content type.
It would be so nice and efficient to activate the grid types on gallery content type because as you would assume “gallery” content is about photos and when you have to crop all your images to fit in only one grid type you would certenly lose the beauty of most of the photos. This can lead to not using the gallery content type. it would be such a waste.
I hope you can fix this.
Thanks & Regards,

August 27, 2013 at 2:35 pm #503644Hi Rani,
How did you configure that Fixel Category Blog menu item in your site? This page has Fixel Category Blog menu item type and it’s displaying gallery content type:
http://joomla30-templates.joomlart.com/ja_fixel/index.php/en/j-pages/all-categories/fashion-design

Hi Saguaros,
Yes you are right. Try to apply grid type (2X2, 2X1, 1X2 and 3X2) to one of these galleries and see if the grid type working or not…

August 28, 2013 at 8:18 am #503743Hi Rani,
I want to add some more info here. With other blog page, like above Fixel Category Blog page (except for the Home page), only Leading articles have grid 2×2, other articles will have 1×1 grid type.
Regards

Yes That’s right! So are we going to have a fix for this? because Intuitively you would expect Fixel Category Blog layout to work like Featured articles layout. am i right?
Also could you change the subject to “Grid type works on home page but it doesn’t work on “Fixel Category Blog“

August 29, 2013 at 7:37 am #503891Nope, mate. The Featured articles layout will be different with Category blog layout. This is special template and we style / custom so that you can apply different grid views for the layout in home page only, with Category blog, you can have 2 grid views as I said in my last reply only.
