May 15, 2012 at 7:10 pm #453170Assuming it’s Joomla 2.5 have you looked in Extensions/Plugin Manager for User Profile? Enable it and use the extra fields…
Could be worth trying – haven’t done it myself so don’t know!! 😉
May 16, 2012 at 7:14 am #453220Thanks a lot, but if I want to change a field I can’t do it. And when I enabled the plugin a new message show this “Calendar.setup:
Nothing to setup (no fields found). Please check your code”.How can I change the registration form with code?

Set on both sets of options ‘Date of Birth’ to disabled. This will get rid of the pop-up message.
If you are going to change code please make sure you have a back-up first.
I THINK that the files you require are based in xxx/plugins/user/profile. I haven’t played with these so unless some other helpful soul jumps in to offer advice you’re going to be on your own and the pioneer for us all!! 🙂
May 16, 2012 at 3:19 pm #453297Don’t worry, there are soy many tutorials to solve the problem…..
I have to use phpmyadmin to add new field in users…and then add field in two files….in libraries (user.php) and in components/users/default.php
But is a large process….
Thanks

May 16, 2012 at 3:23 pm #453299Welcome.
May be easier for you to just use an extension – there are hundreds available all doing something or the other!!
