I’m trying to get additional catagories posted on the front page, but am having no luck.

I currently have 6 catagories, but trying to include 3 more. I have the catagories in place in the back end, have assigned articles to them, and included the catagory ID number in the JA_News module.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I want to add links to the thumbnail image in the headline news items on the front page.
The link does not work on the front-end thumb, but it does work on the image in the article once opened. Any ideas?

Ok, I have the catagories working. Seems to take its own time updating from a few hours to a day.
Now I just need to know how to link the images in the catagories.

Is anybody looking at these post? I have resolved all except adding links to the thumbnail image in the headline news items on the front page.

You use the mosimage-function, right?
try inserting images via the toolbar and adding a link then…

The monimage function no longer exist in Joomla 1.5, I use Joomla 1.5.6
The images were added in using the tool bar.

I believe this is a issue with the news module since the linking associated with the image is accessable when viewing the image in the article. Just can’t see it on the front page.

Also, for the catagories on the front page for the news mod, in Firefox, the link select hand shows up when hovering over the catagory bar, but in IE it doesn’t, so you never know a link exist. The same can be said on the Joomlart demo page.
