Hi there,
I’m having some troubles with your theme JA Teline. I’ve imported about 12.000 articles and now it takes about 5 minutes when I save a new article in the database.

I did some troubleshooting and I’ve found the problem: there is one of the components of JA Teline that re-orders all the values of the column “ordering” on the tables mvz8f_content and mvz8f_content_frontpage every time I save a new article.

This is a sample output of “show processlist”:

How can I disable this re-ordering function? There is no way to use your theme with more than 3-4.000 articles.

Ending notes: I’m using it in a dedicated server with an 8-cores CPU.

Actually i think it’s Joomla! do.
Why:
– Save new article.
– Need to check & reorder all ordering to make correct value with new inserted.

And because you are doing save in backend ( even with frontend ). It’ll be process by Joomla!, not Teline V.

In another word: This’s not JA issue. Assume Joomla! issue

So, you’re assuming that Joomla has problems with only 12.000 articles? 😀

I manage many sites with a great number of articles and no one of them had these issues. This is because I’m writing here…

( Did you try in backend or frontend ? )

Have you tried to disable T3 plugin and / or switched back to default Joomla! template and try to create article again ?

# But if you already tried to disable T3 / JA Template and issue still there, now we can exclude it’s JA issue. Isn’t it 😉
Have you tried this same site on another server ?
I just want to do many check cases to get more information.

I read most of your post. I just disabled the voice t3 framework in the plugin, then I left everything unchanged

And it’s stil slow ?
# May i have your db to check in local with my system ?
# Or do you have staging site that i can inspecting. ( Please try to go to phpmyadmin and do optimize for all tables )

But without T3 and your backend ( not frontend ) stil saving slow, once again assume it’s Joomla! 🙂
