I am webmaster for our schools website and we are contemplating an update to Joomla 1.6. As an intermediate I have a test server with the newest 1.5 and are trying The Social Template as our old one is not compatible with 1.6.
I have two questions, see the test server here: http://www.bf-data.dk/sgt:
1 I want to take away the small band at the top over the logo, how can that be done?
    2. The small arrows that shows a submenu are very difficult to see. How can I either make them darker or maybe change them to >?
I know the web is in Danish but that should not be an obstacle.
    Our official homepage is here:

Can you please provide me a snapshot on the issue

    You replace this icon: http://www.bf-data.dk/sgt/templates/ja_social/images/arrow5.png
By an other icon having the dark color

    I have found the solution:
    In template.css
    #ja-header {border-top:1px solid #4FAED2; >> remove
    margin-top:29px; >> remove
    z-index:13; }

The above solution works fine with Firefox and Chrome but not with IE.
There are 4 css’s that is special for IE could it be they should be edited?
What are the css’s with rtl in the name for?

    Hello Mate!

You access the template configuration and then disable the Optimize Css And Let me check this issue again,

    Thanks

That helped, Thank you. I have now solved a lot of problems to optimize the template to our wishes.
If you like I can make a little list of tips how to change things in the template that is often asked for.
