Hello JoomlArt’s friends,

It’s been a week since the beta release of our Joomla template – Uber. It’s been a promising template from the beginning, and our team put our best efforts forward to make it the Best Responsive Joomla template of 2014.

Today, I’d like to introduce to you the Stable Release of Uber – The Best 2014 Responsive Joomla template.

And I’ll walk you through the new things we’ve added to the Uber stable release.

1. JA ACM new structure

Why did we make these changes?

In this stable release, we tried to come up with a systematic approach to JA ACM, so that the extension will fly to the next height on its own. We put all of the JA ACM data into the “acm” folder. Inside “acm”, each content type has its own separate folder that includes:

• .xml file: to define the fields in the content types.
• tmpl folder: contains all style files of the content type (style-1.php, style-2.php).
• less folder: include .less files (style.less, style-1.less).
• css folder: the compiled file from LESS to CSS. When compiling, it’s already joined so there is only the style.css file in the folder.
• js folder (if required): contain the Javascripts file used for the content type

This change in the structure of JA ACM will allow users to manage, use, customize and even deploy it into other templates. In the future, we plan to have more content types and styles for JA ACM, so be looking for regular updates.

2. One new pre-built site template – Charity

In the beta release, we provided 4 pre-built templates: Uber Home, Business, Corporate and Beauty Spa. In this stable version, we’ve added one newly pre-built template: Charity. We hope with the multiple options we offer, you can have even more choices to start building your own start-up site.

3. Focus on Core development

In this stable release, our main focus is to strengthen the core of Uber template. We want to make it clean, stable, easy to use and easily customizable.
An RTL language layout for Uber and JA ACM is also being considered. For now, it’s limited to support.

4. Sample data

We provide the following sample data packages:

• Default – the whole Uber site system as appears on our demo site
• Uber Home – sample data for the Uber Home pre-built site
• Business – sample data for the Business pre-built site
• Corporate – sample data for the Corporate pre-built site
• Beauty Spa – sample data for the Beauty Spa pre-built site
• Charity – sample data for the Charity pre-built site

5. Upgrade from beta to stable?

No.
We recommend you NOT to upgrade from beta to stable as the structure of JA ACM has been changed.

Please do a new installation for this stable release.
