I am having continual problems with Up dating in Ja_Nex Estension manager. I am using the Quickstart package Joomla 2.5.8 and extensions included in package do not update. The following packages are the problem childs.

JA Bulletin Module Update Module 2.5.4 N/A Site http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j16/mod_jabulletin.xml
JA News Featured Module Update Module 2.5.3 N/A Site http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j16/mod_janews_featured.xml
JA Nex Template Update Template 2.5.7 N/A Site http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j16/ja_nex.xml
    JA Popup Plugin

    Error comes back:

    Unknown Archive type
    Update path does not exist
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
    Unable to detect manifest file

    Hi,

You can’t upgrade our JA Extension by joomla update service since joomla update is used to update free extensions only, while most of ours are commercial. Please use our JA Extension Manager (JAEM) to update our JA Extensions

    After upgrading by JAEM,

Pls go to Admin->Extension Manager -> Update (tab) > choose “Purge Cache” then “Find Updates

I am getting the same problem with the updates. It returns:

    Unknown Archive type
    Update path does not exist
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
    Unable to detect manifest file
