I have modified the header (banner) image and it appears fine in most browsers, with the exception of IE 6.

    cicpartnernetwork.org/index.php

It does not show at all.

Can someone help me figure out what needs to be adjusted in the CSS to make this work in IE 6.

    Thank you in advance, Susan

    Hi swolak !
I have checked your site on IE6 , the header image still shows now . Have you solved the problem ?

Yes, Kenneth Crowder helped me at the Joomla conference yesterday.

I’ll post more later. Thanks, Susan

Ken helped me by modifying the main index.php code for the logo and hard coding in the path to the logo image.

    <h1 class=”logo”>

    <a href=”/index.php” title=”CIC Partner Network”><img src=”/templates/ja_purity/images/logo.gif” border=”0″ alt=”CIC Partner Network”></a>

I had the same issue and after spending considerable time trying to solve it, and looking through forum posts and suggestions, I found that changing the image type from jpg to png solved the problem, so its worth a try.

    I hope this helps.

I’ve searched high and low and I don’t see anything about a fix for Ja_Purity’s header problems in Internet Explorer 6.

The logo doesn’t display and neither does the header mask (.png issue?), all that displays are the background header images, the search box and greyed font-size option “A’s”.

Is there a fix so that the template header works properly in IE 6?

    Thanks in advanced!

My fix was to hard code the path to the image as stated in my January 4th post above.

Thanks, I’ve figured that method out, but that is not really a fix as much as it is a change; as it replaces just the logo file. I’m looking for a way to have it function the same way it does on all other browsers; where the header background images change on refresh.

I heard MS is discontinuing support for IE6 this summer, I think they should do like Toyota and just recall the entire browser.
