Hi, i’m experiencing some noising visualization problem with ja_news 1.3.1 module.

MY SITE OUTPUT PROBLEM:

———————————-> HOME PAGE DISPLAY #1

———————————-> ARTICLE DISPLAY #1

———————————-> HOME PAGE DISPLAY #2

———————————-> ARTICLE DISPLAY #2

NOTE:
the first article do not show text in homepage (see difference beetween 1) and 2) images).
the second articles (which has some </ br>) has visualization trouble… (see 3) image).

What could be??

PROBLEMS EXPOSED ABOVE, ARE OF MY LOCALHOST. the real website online has different articles, but it has same problems.

i’ve done dozens of tries…
i can summarise all my tries in 3 types:

1)installation A):
joomla 1.5.3 (ENG) + template teline2 v1.3 + setting everithing like USERGUIDE/QUICKSTART + CSS/JS MODIFICATION + THIRD PARTY ADD-ON (phoca gallery) + these modules:
– magazin menù
– main menù
– ja_news
– ja_news_fp
– latest news
– more popular
– 2/3 custom html (only text and links inside)
– syndacation module
– contacts module
– footer module
– search module
– phoca gallery

2) Installation B)
joomla 1.5.3 (italian) + template teline2 v1.3 + setting everithing like USERGUIDE/QUICKSTART + NO CSS/JS MODIFICATION + NO THIRD PARTY ADD-ON+ these modules
– magazin menù
– main menù
– ja_news
– ja_news_fp
– latest news
– more popular
– 2/3 custom html (only text and links inside)
– syndacation module
– contacts module
– footer module
– search module

3) Installation C)
Quickstart Teline2 + SITE AND ADMINISTER SIDE ITALIAN JOOMLA TRANSLATIONS + CSS/JS MODIFICATION + THIRD PARTY ADD ON (phoca gallery) + CANCELLATION OF:
– ALL MODULES
– ALL ARTICLES
– ALL SECTIONS
– ALL CATEGORIES
– ALL MENU’S LINKS
+ CREATION OF:
– magazin menù
– main menù
– ja_news
– ja_news_fp
– latest news
– more popular
– 2/3 custom html (only text and links inside)
– syndacation module
– contacts module
– footer module
– search module

OUTPUT RESULT:

Installations A) and B) have visualization problem showed at first post.
Installation C) (based on quickstart and totally cleaned of every content and module-menù) works good.

PLEASE, since i’ve alredy 30 articles about in <a href="http://www.venetoinfo.it“>http://www.venetoinfo.it, (and it is an installation like B) type) please help me: find the problem!!!

i’m re-installaing everything on the hoster.
new kind of installation: C) type. But PLEASE, find out the problem…

note:
this version is “quickstart” based, so it works.
to understand the BUG, please, use: joomla 1.5.3 eng, WITH NO DEMO DATA INSTALLED, then install teline2.

I had a look at your site, it seems to be working OK to me? I’m using Safari and everything seems to look quite good?

Apart from your ‘tabs’ … I think the names are too long in Italian so this causes following problem:

Let me know if I can help with anything else (although, I may not be able to as I’m quite new to all this stuff too!).

Is the problem that this is the ‘DEMO’ based pack? If so, that seems to be my problem earlier. I could modify existing sections/categories/menus, but as soon as I created ‘new’ and came away from Demo, everything went horribly wrong!!

thx for your interest but u don’t understand:

1) now my site is working perfectly since i’ve reinstalled it with quickstart as i written here:

2) problems still exist if i use a NOT QUICKSTART installation -.-”’ (please read first and second post of the thread…)
3) my tabs is ok. me and my friends see it without problems…

About the Issue #2 : Image3 and image4 on your fisrt post
This is a error in trim html function of JA News module . You can fix it following some steps below :
1. Download attachment file and extract it.
2. Copy and overwrite to modulesmod_janews folder.

About Issue #1 : ( image1 and image2 ) don’t display text in front page.

– Download blog_item.zip file and extract it.
– Copy and overwrite to modulesmod_janewstmpl folder.
