Because this issue was supposed to have been fixed in a previous version. My simple question is "Should I always renew to fix the same issue" I think it is a fair question?
Kindly check the 1st post from Pankaj, it's not an issue from JomSocial, it happened when using with Membership Pro, we tested with fresh package of Jomsocial and can't replicate the issue. We did test with latest version of Jomsocial and extension from jomdonation that you provided and it works normally also. Pls consider the offer the team sent to you and upgrade the latest version, it's fair enough though.
We can't test and check on your site as it's beyond of support policy as download & support is available to active membership only. And it'll be unfair to other active members.
