I am still running JomSocial 4.9.5 on Joomla 5 with php 8.4.
It works very fine

I have it as ZIP File and I can provide it to you, if the support here allows that.
I also have an older version 4.9.1 and both run good on Joomla 5

I will go JS 5 soon because I need to go J6

We all have to keep this community alive and since he already bought JS 5 and I don't see any issue if he willingly wants to downgrade for a while.
J5 is only for J6 or am I mistaken?

How do I go about getting a refund of my $299. Since I paid for that I have been unable to upgrade the version of JomSocial I have been using prior to purchase and there does not seem to be support available to find out why. There has been zero response now for over three weeks.

You mean JS5 version, right? No, it supports both Joomla 5 and 6

Thanks to Alphamatt, for making the suggestion. I will certainly see if that lets me move forward a little.

I am wondering what progress may have been made on the original problem though. I remain concerned that the provision and support of JomSocial is no longer considered core to the business and its future is in no way assured. For those of us who have built our communities on the product over the last 15 years this is not a pleasant situation to be in. The change in the fee structure seems designed to push us towards trying out other products in the company's portfolio while we try to keep out JomSocial communities functioning. At the moment I have no route to Joomla 6.

I do not want to feel that I have to plan an escape route.
