Purity III Errors on Joomla 5.4

Hello,
I'm using the Purity III template on a website that migrated through various versions of Joomla over the years, up to the current 5.4 release.
Since I upgraded my website to Joomla 5, when I try to open System -> Template -> Style in the back-end, I get the error "Cannot use object of type Joomla\Component\Templates\Administrator\View\Style\HtmlView as array."
The Purity III version I'm using is 2.1.1, while the T3 version is 3.2.3 (but I'm facing the same problem with 3.3.1).
Is there a way to solve this issue without changing the template and framework?
Are T3 and Purity III still supported on Joomla 5 as stated here: https://www.joomlart.com/joomla/templates/purity-iii, or should they be considered deprecated?

Hi Riccardo,

Please make sure that you have Behaviour - Backward Compatibility” plugin enabled on your site.

If the issue still persists, you can share the super admin access so I will take a look.

Hello Heinz, the Behaviour - Backward Compatibility plugin is enabled, but the problem remains. Please let me know how I can securely share a temporary super admin credential with you. I am attaching two screenshots with the settings of the mentioned plugin and the error stack trace visible when debug mode is activated.

It seems that your site still keeps the old files from previous versions of T3 framework.

In this directory: /plugins/system/t3/base-bs3/html/layouts/joomla/edit/

there should be only 1 file: frontediting_modules.php

You can try to rename all other files and see how it goes.

Hello Heinz, thank you very much! Following your instructions, I can access the configuration panel again. However, the graphics seem a bit more basic compared to what I can see on the same site with Joomla 4. I’m attaching two images as examples: the first one (LayoutJoomla4.jpg) shows the layout style configuration panel with Joomla 4, while the second one (layoutJoomla5.jpg) shows how I see the same panel now. Could there be another configuration issue, perhaps due to an update that wasn’t fully completed? If so, how can I get to a “clean” state for T3 without losing any customizations? Thanks again for your help.
