For search and filter functionality, we offer an extension called JA Megafilter, which allows you to filter content. You can explore it here: JA Megafilter Demo.

We do not have a dedicated search module like Joomla’s Smart Search module.

To index your content, simply navigate to the Smart Search component in the backend of your site and click the Index button.

mod_search and com_search are removed in Joomla 5 so you can delete it.

Then create new menu item type of Smart Search to replace it.

According to the same screenshot, HOW do I update the extensions related to Smart Search?
Seven date from 2011 and one from 2013. I did the test and they tell me that there is no update available.

It would depend on your needs, as you can see the name of each plugin, it will help to search the content of each component: content, contacts, ...

Smart search is core Joomla component, you can check the update via: /administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=update

I have already done as you say. I find it strange that there are no updates available for seven extensions from 2011 and one from 2013. More than a decade without an update, and we are already with joomla 5.
