As mentioned, PHP 7.3 and older is insecure. When will Guru be officially compatible with PHP 7.4?

Guru is under development for Joomla 4 and it will also be tested for the PHP 7.4 for it.
If there is any specific issue you faced except last post as you asked same question there you can try the suggestion shared for all videos.

The development of Guru for Joomla 4 has been going on for YEARS already. 5 months ago you said it would be released in two weeks, and the date keeps being postponed and postponed.

In a previous post you said Guru has been tested only with 7.2, and an informal test with 7.3 by you.

So, is Guru OFFICIALLY tested and supported with PHP 7.4 or not?

I am not a developer nor a tester, that's why we pay for Guru. You can't expect your users to do the testing for you.

Please can someone from the dev team test that package works with the latest version of Guru?

Roger, we do not want you to test on this. After test i shared you can do update and there will be only PHP warning that u can hide from Joomla global configurations.
I just trying to help you faster so u can update to PHP 7.4 without getting any delay.

I raised ticket for development team on PHP 7.4 official updates and for PHP8 .
I will update you when there is any info came on the ticket from developer team.

I hear your pain CItyhomestead. I have also voiced many times during the past months (and years!) that the developement of Guru has been less than ideal. No new versions at all, not even when some serious security risks where reported.

I sincerely hope the release of Guru 6 marks a big inflection point and the developement of Guru is again as it used to be.

Guru 6.0.0 is stable now, and it is tested with PHP7.4 as well as PHP8.

I am sorry about the delay. The reason is, the router of Guru need to be updated and taking more time than our plan, we also wanted to do more improvements such as adding more layouts for course list, course detail, improve lesson view and more instead of just upgrading to Joomla 4.
