I did not renew my JoomlArt subscription, and I'm also not renewing my Community Builder top level (which gave me access to CBSubs).
I'm in the process of replacing both with Events Booking and Membership Pro, respectively. JoomDonation also makes a much nicer contribution campaign extension, Joom Donation (of course).
All these are proving to be J4 and PHP8 compatible, with support pretty much equal to what we receive here at JoomlArt - which is very good.
I have always appreciated JoomlArt's responsiveness in support. It's unfortunate that their resources do not permit the timely updating of all their extensions. It would seem that their acquisition of so many brands over the years has proven to be more than they are able to maintain.
Let's hope they're able to bring in more talent and speed up the process so they don't lose a larger base of customers than they already have. The Joomla world is a little different from the WordPress world in that the expectation in Joomla is that extensions can be licensed on multiple sites for one price and are overall less expensive than similar, less configurable, plugins from WordPress. Profitability for WordPress builders is thus generally higher than for Joomla builders.
If you're using JoomlArt products that ARE being updated in a timely manner, stay with them as their support is good. As Joomla people, we always want to encourage and support the committed Joomla extension developers wherever we can.
