Bizarre URL's, Most read error, Tag component, Article order

I have created a new thread regarding the tag issue.

The most read module has ID number 331, in correlation with 337 and 340.

The faulty category/menu item issue that displayed articles as if all were videos, have been solved. It turned out that all articles needs to be in categories that has a specific menu item pointing to it, otherwise Joomla doesn't understand where it belongs, and apparently randomly chooses something to set as default. I had several menu items pointing to tags instead of categories, and that confused old Joomla.

I am still very interested in knowing if we can remove the author name and publish date from blog view, but keep it in article view, like we could with the tags.

yes Joomla needs an itemid for content to display correctly - as you say module assignment goes wrong otherwise and it normally loads the default itemid which is the home page

For removing the author name and publish date in the category blog page but not the article I think you would need links to the individual articles

So you would have settings different for the article compared to its category link

If you think this is a viable workflow I'd test it with one article

That would be the way using the Joomla core - a template override might also be possible as an alternate method

paulus1031 Like stated before, the Most Read module has ID number 331, and works in correaltion with ID number 337 and 340. See attached photo. Today, apparently, this weeks most read articles are these two, which is completely incorrect. First of all, there should have been five of them, and secondly, those are articles published this week, but not the most read ones. It almost seems like the module only rates articles that have been published this week, instead of all articles.

naringsliv Regarding your second question, You may wish to assign default Joomla template and then, assign "Most read" module to module positions available in the respective template to see if it works fine then. To see the available module positions on a page, Please follow this tutorial

For tags relative issue for resulting in blank main-body area, I had added reply here for the specific topic started by you, Please follow on the same and add response to enable us to assist further with the relative topic so as to avoid confusion or multiplicity

is not most read content, kindly both the module again its Joomla articles category module that display the article from selected category. Also the order or articles are set on publish date, you can open the module and change the order here : http://prntscr.com/jstsb8

I also suggest you to use latest version of template on site.

To be precise, Can you post screenshot of the error your are getting?

If you are trying to update the template via Joomla update, its not possible as the Joomla update is used to notify the updates
All JA Templates are updated via JA Extension Manager component. Kindly download and install the extension and follow the steps given here to update the template.

For the module article order kindly follow my last post to set order.

You will need to configure the settings and set JoomlArt Updates as default and enter your login details in order for JA Extension Manager to work properly

Kindly refer to documentation excerpt - Using JA Extension Manager component - Recommended for JoomlArt products which outlines the steps for configuring the same. Thereon, You can upload the latest version of template in repository as outlined here and upgrade the same

Latest version of template i.e. 1.0.1 can be downloaded from here as you will see the the version update when you go to extensions --> manage --> Update. Ref. Screenshot
