AdAgency on a site with 2 templates and 1 ad

Hi,
I have a site with 2 templates because i have jomsocial and another main component.

When I create an ad on AdAgency I can select only one zone, but because I have two templates I need to choose two zones on two different templates.

How can I solve?

yodam1 Hi. Simply create 2 zones. One for a module position on one template and other for second one. Than in add selection You will have to affiliate it with both of those zones.

it's what i did but I can assign only to one. look at the screenshot:

I can not select for example "AdsClarity a sinistra" and "JA Social II a sinistra" (a sinistra = on the left in my language)

Hi
Zone are the modules that you can publish on different menu items.
Templates are Joomla template used to apply on menu items.
Zone have nothing do to with template it only use to display on menu items and The menu items can have different template that you will assign to them.

On your screenshot its zon name you have added with JA social ii.

I can check it better if i have site super user login.

As i explain in the last post Zone are the module that display on the module positions.
You can assign different Joomla template to menu items, not on module.

In your screenshot you added zone name http://prntscr.com/lqd82e you can change it to any name as per needs. Naming a module to template name does not mean it work as template.

That's my fault but what I must do to assign the same Ads to "AdsClarity a sinistra" and "JA Social II a sinistra" ?

"AdsClarity a sinistra" is assigned to some pages and "JA Social II a sinistra" to others

The left position has a name on Adsclarity (left) and another on JA Social II (sidebar-1)

Is the only solution to create 2 ads with the same content?

Zone are module like a normal Joomla module that used to assign on the menu items.
To see the available module position in template open JA social ii template style > Layout
And assign your ad zone on available position. Template does not have any module position with name : Left.

Hi,
I explain better because after I've read many times your answer but I'm not able to solve or to understand if it's not solvable (my fault... you were really good):

1) I have two templates: Ja Social ii and Adsclarity
2) on Ja social ii the position on the left is named "sidebar-1" and in AdsClarity is named simply "left"
3) Ja Social ii it's used in some pages and Adsclarity in other pages

How can i create an Ad that on Adsclarity pages it's in the position named "left" and in Ja social ii it's in the position "sidebar-1"?
Is possible to do a trick to assign an Ad to two different positions?

Hi
To show a module on two different position you need to create two copy of the module.
Publish one on sidebar-1 and 2nd on the left position.

Hi,
I've tryed but it seem not working.
My modules are:
- "Annunci in cima" and the copy "Annunci in cima (2)"
- "Annunci in mezzo" and the copy "Annunci in mezzo (2)"

Remember that is possible that for access my site you will need to enter .htaccess user and password two times

There is no duplicate zone for ads : http://prntscr.com/lytjcv
Each zone is used to show ad.
As i explain in previous threads. if you want to show the same ads on different positions, you need to create different zones for it and assign those ads to them.

So on module menu of Joomla I've duplicated "Annunci in cima" module to "Annunci in cima (2)" module and changed the position

Hi,

I created a new zone from adagency zones - "Annunci in cima 2" - with the same options like this zone - "Annunci in cima"
I assigned the new zone to this package - "Pubblicità in tutte le posizioni"
I created a new campaign - "Campagna di prova 2" - for some ads like "Campagna di prova"
and I can see the new zone with ads in this page -/index.php/articoli, for example.

Please let me know if this is not what you want.

I can not try now but doing all those operations will not be confusing for customers that create their campaign on the frontend? they will need to "work" for creating two campaigns that is counterintuitive and also about payment? will they need to pay two campaigns?

What I want is that an Ad will be placed on many position in different template (at least one on every template) because I can have two template with a left position but on those templates the position name is different

If there is not a simple solution is it simple to change template positions names on Ja Social II?

This is how it works, in Joomla if you want to publish one module on different position
You need to make a replica of it. There is no such options as Alin shared the workflow to add a zone.

Hi,
Now I understood what you mean for replica. You mean to do all zone process twice. For module replica I've understood the duplicate module option of Joomla, but as you see is not sufficient.

For me it's a really bad news this one because it means I will have to manage campaigns by myself or to override a template to change template position names 🙁((((

Yes as each zone is contacted to ads, you need to create it again.
Or rename the module position to match them in both templates.

In Social ii template the positions are defined in the php file /tpls/blocks folder
and the name are define in templatedetail.xml file in template folder.
You can make an override of each file in /local/tpls/blocks.
