Hello, here are some more suggestions for useful improvements for JA Megafilter:

1) If an article has no Intro Image, show Fulltext Image as the Picture
Megafilter items use the Intro Image as item picture. However, sometimes an article might not have an Intro Image but has a Fulltext Image. In that case, it would be useful to fall back to the Fulltext Image. This is a very simple fix:

Find:

Replace with:

if (!empty($images['image_intro'])) {
    $item->thumbnail = $images['image_intro'];
   } elseif (!empty($images['image_fulltext'])) {
    $item->thumbnail = $images['image_fulltext'];
   } else {
    $item->thumbnail = '';
   }

2) Add option to Exclude SubCategories (Child Categories)
Right now, when you create a New filter, and you select a Category, all articles/items also from the subcategories/child categories will be indexed in the filter. There should be an option to only index items from the parent Category and not include child categories. So, under Category selection have another option called:
"Include Subcategories? YES/NO" (default: YES)

3) Add option to Include Unpublished Items
Similar as above, right now unpublished items will not be indexed in the filter. There should be an option to also index unpublished items. So under the Category and Subcategory options, have an option:
"Include Unpublished Items? YES/NO" (default: NO)

4) Only show currently active filters in Filter Config
Currently, the "Filter Config" tab when creating/editing a Filter, lists ALL the Custom Fields that exist on the site. This is very bad looking and hard to navigate. It should only show the fields that are set to be PUBLISHED in the tabs "Base Fields" and "Custom Fields" of the Filter editing page. So in order to be able to modify the Filter Config of a field, it first needs to be published in the Filter editing page.

5) Add ability to have Filter type "Single/Dropdown/Multiple" also for fields of type "Text"
Right now, the only field types that have the option to be shown as Single/Dropdown/Multiple are fields of type "List", "Checkboxes", or "Radio". On the other hand, fields of type "Text" can be only shown as "Value" or "Range". I think even fields of type "Text" should have the option to be shown as "List", "Checkboxes", or "Radio". So a field of type "Text" should have these Filter type options available: "Value", "Range", "Single", "Dropdown", "Multiple".

6) The ordering "Number ASC/DESC" in Filter Config doesn't work very well
For some reason, sometimes when trying to order the options of a field by Number ASC, or Number DESC, it doesn't work well. It doesn't happen all the time, sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't work. For example, see this image: https://i.imgur.com/dbh0mQy.jpg
This was an attempt to order the options by "Number DESC", but the result clearly doesn't work...

7) Ability to add a block of content/text/description above the Megafilter.
Right now there is no way to add a "header" content above the Megafilter page. The only way is to use a module position. It would be good to have a feature called "Description/Header", where you have a Editor block that you can fill to put some content above the Megafilter. See image for an example:

So allow to have a description text editor input that will show on top of the Megafilter.

I hope you can add these new features in the next version.
