I followed the instructions in the documentation to change the default theme colour but nothing changed. Am I missing something?

Hi,

After changing the theme, make sure that you select that new theme in Templates manager > Theme tab and assign that template to the associated menu item.

If there is still no go, kindly share the credentials of your site and tell me which theme you want to use, I will take a look.
