I am using Purity III Quickstart package and have attempted to set the default page to CORPORATE LAYOUT and have set the CORPORATE LAYOUT menu item as the default – along with changing all the settings in the template manager.

Now, when I click on the PURITY III image (HOME button) it takes me to the CORP layout, but if I navigate away from it in Firefox or Google Chrome it will not redirect back to the home page. It only works properly in Internet Explorer

Any idea what is happening?

Please open the file: /templates/your_template_name/tpls/block/header.php, then find and replace code in red:

For the home button, please try to rebuild the Home menu item in backend of your site.

Ok thank you! That is the exact code that exists now – and it works great in Internet Explorer, just not in Firefox or Chrome! Clicking on the Purity II Logo simply refreshes whatever page is shown and does not redirect back to the home page.

HI Nazario – thank you! I was helping my brother out and he simply added a HOME button so we are good for now. If this is a bug and you want to investigate it then I will get the credentials from him!!

This is only an issue in Firefox and Chrome browsers with J 3.2.3 It works fine in Internet Explorer!

@ibewguy,

We do have plan to update the Purity III template for Joomla 3.2.3 and if this problem persists in this latest version, we will fix it.
