Done; sorry, I thought I had assigned super user credentials initially.

I am having a similar problem. I make changes to a page and publish. The changes appear on the frontend. When I try to edit the page again the old version still shows without the changes. In one case after after adding a block and publishing the page all the other blocks were missing when I tried to edit again. If I publish it again the changes are lost from the frontend as well.

I have tried to change to a previous revision of the page, but it does not matter which one I choose, it always applies the corrupted page. I had to restore my site from backup twice and I have given up trying to make any changes until I can get some clarity on why this is happening.

Joomla and JA Builder are updated to the latest versions. I only noticed this issue after updating to the latest Joomla version.
    Website: http://caribbeansnowice.com
    Joomla! 3.7.5 Stable
    JA Builder Version 1.0.9
    PHP Version 7.1.3
    MySQLi 5.5.51-38.2

Any progress? I changed access level to Super User 2 days ago; the problem persists and no one has looked at it since then.
Please help; I need to edit pages and need to know I can rely on this extension in the future!

    Thanks /w.

    Hi Walt,

May I know how did you create this page? you created them originally on this site or import from another site (dev site, for example)?

All pages were created on the live site.

For clarification, the pages were created on the live site adding each block separately. This due to the fact that the component does not work to start with a page from the library.
It seems that there are multiple bugs with this component; I’m amazed that it was released in this condition.
My situation is that I really need to edit the pages I’ve created. Please tell me what I must do to get the component to work.
    /w.

It’s not what you need to do to get it to work, it’s what they need to do and that is stop making calls to JA server every time we make an edit.

    1. If your publish button doesn’t load then you get this problem
    2. If you click back button in your browser you get this problem
    3. If you exit or close tab while editing you get this problem
    4. Calling JA servers on every edit slows the thing down by a long way, 20 seconds in some cases to publish 1 change!!!

If we can simply remove the calls to JA server every time we make an edit and simply have everything locally installed then all those issues are instantly solved.

I have told the team repeatedly what they need to do, and yet they are having more and more of the same problems. Is a real shame and I think every JA Builder paying member should have their subscription extended free of charge because this JA Builder is clearly in beta stage and is not fit for purpose until this problem is solved. We developers can not afford to be messing around losing clients content etc with something that should have gone through rigorous testing prior to release.

Hope this helps and hope the devs from JA actually listen to me now.

    Thanks,
    Richard

Can I please get an answer with some support on this ticket?

I first requested assistance on Aug 21; it is 5 days later and still no offer of a solution. This lack of support is unacceptable considering what I have paid for Developer subscription.

If I can not expect this component to be reliable, please advise to that effect so that I can deliver an acceptable level of service to my clients.

    Hi Walt,

I’ve update that page: https://mlcproperties.com/index.php/en/neighborhoods/ravenswood and it’s ok now, kindly check and let me know if there is any issue.

And do you mean that this issue happened when you created these pages from library? I will also share with development team for further checking.

Okay, I see that Ravenswood is now working; what about the other five pages that still show a blank page when I try to edit?

    https://mlcproperties.com/index.php/en/neighborhoods/uptown
    https://mlcproperties.com/index.php/en/neighborhoods/west-ridge
    https://mlcproperties.com/index.php/en/neighborhoods/humboldt-park
    https://mlcproperties.com/index.php/en/neighborhoods/austin
    https://mlcproperties.com/index.php/en/neighborhoods/chatham

It’s been a week now and I still don’t have a solution for this issue! I have five pages I can’t edit, and it looks like if I want to create a page in Builder, I may have to get support to fix each page before I can edit it. That scenario doesn’t give me much confidence!

And to clarify, when attempting to create a new page in Builder, the option to select a page from the library does not work at all; I can only add one block at a time to create.

Still no answer from my last post 3 days ago?

JA Builder component is busted! Why not just tell me I’m screwed?

I’ve been patient; now I’m PI$$ED! Where is the support I paid for? I’m about ready to do what others are doing and demand a refund if I can’t get answers!

    PLEASE RESPOND!

It has been another week and I still have no answer on how to edit the Builder pages that come up blank in Live Edit.

I have made several requests; am I being ignored?
