Hallo,

I use Joomla 3.6.5 and php 7, and the emails are not going out over contact and under "configuration/system" the test mail also says "Could not instantiate mail function."
Please test it on the website in the German Contact…

What the reason? Can you help me?

Hello

This is a Joomla related issue and not template related, it seems your server cannot send emails using phpmailer, best solution in such cases is to use the SMTP protocol , you should ask your hosting provider details to set your SMTP mailer ( SMTP username and password ) in Global configuration – Server Tab.
