Please let me know how to get the sidebar module positions to work. I have used the normal template install (not the full quickstart version). I am using PHP 7.0.4 and Joomla 3.5.1.

Hi
You need to set the layout default to use the sidebars . At present your site using No-sidebar layout for the template style . Here : http://prntscr.com/aqs4ux
Use two template style if you want to apply different layout for different Menu items .
