Do you mean the “gradient background” in the spotlight div? 😉

If so, the problem is you are using a different module for your “spotlight”, not a “Newflash” module. This part of the JA Archenar template has been designed for the Newflash module in Joomla!. Consider changing your module to “Newflash”!
